BUILD PAGE 12 - Building the Cart / Control Center Continued
Here is a picture of the finished Vacuum pump setup. The custom cage for holding
the vacuum tubes was powder coated to match the cart. This unit will mount in the
back half of the control center cart.
Here is a close up of the vacuum pump. Which is from Harbor Freight. There is a
shut off just after the pump as well as a tee fitting which will allow us to install
a gauge later if we want.
The section of the cart that housed the vacuum and the pump we decided to soundproof.
This was a little bit of an experiment for some later soundproofing project we
have in mind and for when we are not using the router and instead using the cutting
knife or the 3D printing.
This soundproofing does not matter when the router is running up on the top of the
table.
Here is a view of the Acoustic Foam installed in the back half of the cart.
All off the vacuum components have been installed. The shop vac uses pvc to connect
into the top of the table.
The vacuum pump uses reinforced braided hose to connect to the top of the table where
its controlled.
The back half with the storage shelf installed.
The finished product was nearly sound proof when running the shop vac or the vacuum
pum.
